Robert Draper began his career in the jewelry business with Pat Reale, on Church Street in downtown Nashville. Mr. Draper bought into the business in 1944 and the name changed to Reale and Draper. When Mr. Reale passed away, Mr. Draper opened another store at 4002 Granny White Pike and continued to run both stores untiil 1968, when he closed the downtown store.
Draper Jewelry passed into the hands of his daughter in 1989, after Mr. Drapers death. Both she and her husband have run the business since and have continued the heritage of providing their fourth generation of customers, quality service and quality products at the best price possible.
